The Vice Chancellor of BSMR Maritime University Rear Admiral Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury, NBP, OSP, BCGM, ndu, afwc, psc paid an official visit to the international Maritime Academy, (IMA), Gazipur campus on 7th January, 2025 at the invitation of the Commandant of the academy. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the inspection team of the university led by Capt. Md. Zahidul Islam, psc, BN. On arrival the Vice Chancellor was given a guard of honor by the cadets of IMA. A brief presentation on the academy and its activities was displayed by the academy. The VC went around the facilities of the academy to see the existing infrastructure and future plans of the academy. The VC addressed the cadets of the academy in the auditorium of the academy and emphasized on the continued upgradation of the academy curriculum in view of the everchanging scenario of maritime industry. Complimentary crests were exchanged, tree plantation and a photo session took place. The VC expressed his satisfaction regarding the facilities available to the trainees and the quality of instructors and instruction materials. Notable that, The IMA is the affiliated Academy of BSMR Maritime University and the 3 Year BMS (Pass) (Nautical/Engineering) degree had been uplifted on to 4 Year BSc (Hons) degree after the affiliation under BSMRMU.
